Service Driven Development

Service Driven Development is a red2 methodology which combines internal Agile practices with external project management tools. Service Driven Development supports the way we work by recognising that it’s impossible to completely understand any development before we begin.

SDD is an organic process which starts with a very light requirements specification, captured as a series of features. The features are organised into development iterations (usually 2 – 4 week time-boxed activities) at the end of which we demonstrate to you the completed functionality. This allows us to make changes based on your feedback or the feedback from stakeholders in your business.

  • Features are prioritised by iteration and functionality is delivered to the customer at predefined check points
  • Feature detail is elaborated on during development by direct collaboration with the customer
  • Features are tested as they are delivered within iterations, reducing risk
  • Scope and priority are regularly reviewed
  • A fixed price for development of emergent functionality is provided
